MAGISK PARAMORE KONCERT

Som du kan se på titlen, skal det i dag handle om Paramore. Jeg har været vild med dem i ca. ti år siden de først kom ud med deres album Riot!, og i forgårs var jeg til min første koncert med Paramore sammen med min bror og søster i Vega her i København, og det var en helt fantastisk koncert! Stemningen var bare vild, og jeg tror aldrig, at jeg har svedt så meget før (end ikke til en workout) – vi sang og dansede hele aftenen, simplethen.

Dørene til koncerten åbnede kl. 18.30, og vi ankom ca. tre timer før det. Vi kom på et godt tidspunkt og fik en siddepladser på en bænk udenfor (which was amazing!). Da vi ventede faldt vi i snak med to britiske piger, som også skulle til koncerten. De var virkelig søde, og vi endte med at snakke og hænge ud med dem hele aftenen. Det var bare vildt fedt at møde nogle, som var lige så store fans som vi selv var. Da vi blev lukket ind, fik vi købt merchandise – jeg købte en tour t-shirt og en kasket. Derefter skyndte vi os hen til scenen og fik pladser rimelig tæt på scenen.

Der var intet opvarmningsband, men de gik lige på med Told You So. De spillede en del sange fra deres nye album After Laughter som Hard Times og Forgiveness, men også nogle af de gode gamle som Misery Business og Decode samt et par covers. I løbet af aftenen snakkede vi også om, hvilke sange og albums, der var vores yndlings, men det er virkelig svært at vælge, for jeg er både vild med de gode gamle rockede sange og de mere poppede, nye sange. Efter ti år er jeg stadig vild med Paramore, og jeg synes, at de har formået at være med på moden. De skriver stadig vildt gode sange, og i fremtiden vil jeg nok få mig en Paramore tatovering også (jeg har bare ikke besluttet, hvilken en det skal være endnu). I hvert fald vil jeg sige tak for en god koncert og ti gode år til Paramore. Jeg glæder mig til mere fantastisk musik.

As you can see on the title, today’s post is about Paramore. I’ve been loving their music for the past ten years since they first came out with Riot!, and two days ago I went to my first concert with Paramore with my brother and sister at Vega in Copenhagen, and it was an absolutely amazing show! The vibe was crazy and I never think that I’ve sweated that much before (not even at a workout) because of all the singing and dancing all night.

The doors to the venue opened at 18:30 and we arrived about three hours prior to that. We came in perfectly good time to get a seat at a bench outside. As we were waiting we started talking to two British girls who were also going to the concert. They were super nice and we ended up talking and hanging out with them the rest of the night. It was honestly amazing to meet people who were just as big fans of Paramore as we were. When we got to enter the venue we bought some merch – I bought a tour tee and a cap. After that we hurried to the stage and got to stand pretty close to the stage.

There was no warm up band and the went straight to it with Told You So. They of course played a lot of songs from their new album After Laughter such as Hard Times and Forgiveness, but also some oldies such as Misery Business and Decode as well as a couple of covers. During the night we talked about which songs and albums that we like the best, but it’s so difficult to chose. I both like the more rocky songs from the older albums and the newer more pop-like songs. After ten years I still love Paramore, and I think they’ve managed to keep up with the music trends. They still write amazing songs, and in the future I’ll probably get a Paramore tattoo as well. I just haven’t decided on which song I want yet. Anyways, I just want to say thank you for a good concert and ten good years to Paramore. I’m looking forward to more good music.
